Sometimes it can be hard (trying to be polite, modesty, etc.)- I’ve been guilty of deflecting compliments myself. But you deserve to be complimented, so just say thank you and smile! :-)

Anonymous asked: This is a wonderful blog, thank you for making the effort. I hope all is well. (:

Thank you!! You guys are really great. I hope all is well with you as well.
Love Always,
Steph

Who wants me to send them a handwritten letter?

So I’ve been sick for a while and can’t leave my bed so I’ve decided to write letters :) If you want one, message me. I will make it really pretty and make your day because I love you.

So I was walking home and this lady sitting on her porch yelled out hello to me. I said hello back and she then told me I have very pretty hair. I said thank you and smiled the whole way home.

This Toronto police officer

This Toronto police officer was captured tying an older man’s shoe by Jason Cassidy, who posted the photo on Twitter.

Cassidy told the National Post at first he thought the cop was searching the man for drugs but snapped the photo when he realized the police officer was merely tying the senior’s shoe.

“I kind of went, oh my god. … I have to share this,” Cassidy told the Post. “We need positive stories like this that aren’t often in the media.”

CHALLENGE #10
Challenge: Leave sweet messages to strangers on books
By: Natalie Prolman
During a coffee break at a book store, my dear friend Natalie challenged me to leave messages of kindness in 10 different books. Her idea was to surprise readers with unexpected sweet notes. We rolled up our sleeves and in less than 10 minutes Natalie, Thijs, Ailin and myself wrote more than 30 messages and started adding them to several books on different topics. Some of our messages were:  ”What inspires you?” “Enjoy the rest of your day!” “Enjoy the story and share with other!” “You have been a victim of the book fairy,” among others. It was definitely a good experience and a good way to make someone’s day with a simple but unexpected warm message.
